📅 7–10 Days Before Your Appointment

• Discontinue use of retinol, high-strength AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or prescription creams unless advised otherwise by your therapist.
• Avoid waxing, IPL, laser, dermaplaning, injectables, or microdermabrasion until at least 7–14 days before your facial.
• Stay out of direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or fake tan in the week leading up to your appointment.
• Inform us if you are taking medications that may cause skin sensitivity such as Roaccutane, antibiotics, or steroids.
• Refrain from waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area.

🧴 3–5 Days Before Treatment

• Apply a nourishing moisturiser like Barrier+ or Harmony+ daily and increase your water intake to support skin hydration.
• Avoid exfoliants, harsh scrubs, or overly hot environments such as saunas and steam rooms.
• Reduce activities that cause excessive sweating or redness.

• Arrive with clean skin, free from makeup, SPF, or skincare products.
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they may increase skin sensitivity and reduce the relaxation benefits of your treatment.

• Cleanse with Radiance+ Cleanser or Calm+ Cleanser, depending on your facial type, to keep skin clean without stripping.
• Apply targeted serums recommended by your therapist to continue treating your skin concerns at home.
• Hydrate and protect your barrier with your prescribed Pro-Age day and night creams to lock in moisture and prevent dryness.
• Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated from within.

☀️ Sun Protection Is Essential

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours.
• Apply your Pro-Protect Mineral SPF every morning, even if indoors, and reapply every two hours if outside.
• Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sun-safe clothing will further protect your skin.

❌ Avoid These for 24–72 Hours

• Pause the use of retinoids, strong exfoliants, and highly active serums unless otherwise advised.
• Avoid makeup for the first 24 hours if possible, or use mineral formulations only.
• Steer clear of hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise that may trigger redness or sensitivity.
• Refrain from touching, picking, or exfoliating your skin.

⚠️ Contraindications for Pro-Age Facials

Your skin’s safety always comes first. While Pro-Age facials are formulated to deliver visible results with a luxurious experience, there are certain conditions and factors that may prevent safe treatment. Please review the list below before booking your facial.

You may NOT be suitable for a facial if you:

• Have active cold sores, herpes simplex, or any skin infection in the treatment area
• Are experiencing eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or rosacea flare-ups in the treatment area
• Have uncontrolled acne with open pustules or cystic breakouts
• Are currently using Roaccutane (isotretinoin) or have used it within the past 6–12 months
• Are taking medications that cause photosensitivity or interfere with wound healing (e.g. certain antibiotics, steroids, chemotherapy drugs)
• Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
• Have had recent waxing, laser, IPL, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, or cosmetic injectables within 7–14 days
• Have recent sunburn, active peeling, or freshly tanned skin
• Have open wounds, cuts, or broken skin in the treatment area
• Are allergic to any of the ingredients in the products to be used during your facial

Please inform us if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding – most facials can be adapted, but some active ingredients may be avoided
• Are currently using prescription skincare, such as retinoids, steroids, or acne medication
• Have had cosmetic surgery in the past 6 months
• Are prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation or have darker skin types (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) – a patch test and pre-treatment prep may be required
