💡 What to Know Before Your HIFU Treatment
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive treatment that targets the deep structural layers of the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It’s ideal for improving sagging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin firmness without surgery or downtime. To maximise results and ensure comfort, please follow the pre-treatment steps below.
📅 1 Week Before Your Appointment
🧿Discontinue Active Skincare: Stop using retinol, prescription creams, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and exfoliating or irritating products on the face, neck, and décolletage.
🧿Pause Harsh Treatments: Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other intensive skin treatments in the week leading up to your appointment.
🧿Avoid Injectables: Do not schedule anti-wrinkle or dermal filler treatments within 2 weeks of your HIFU appointment.
💧 3–5 Days Before Treatment
🧿Hydrate Your Skin: Drink plenty of water and apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser daily. Well-hydrated skin responds better to HIFU and recovers more efficiently.
🧿No Active Breakouts or Open Wounds: Reschedule your treatment if the skin becomes inflamed, broken, or compromised.
📌 On the Day of Your Treatment
🧿Clean Skin Only: Please arrive with clean, product-free skin (no makeup, moisturiser, SPF, or serums).
🧿No Caffeine or Alcohol: Avoid both on the day of your treatment, as they may increase sensitivity or swelling.
🧿Comfortable Clothing: If we are treating your neck or décolletage, wear a loose-fitting top to avoid irritation post-treatment.
🧿Let Us Know of Any Changes: Inform us of new medications, recent illnesses, or skin flare-ups before beginning your treatment.
⚠️ Important Notes
🧿Medical Conditions: If you have metal implants, pacemakers, or active skin disease in the treatment area, HIFU may not be suitable. A consultation will determine eligibility.
🧿Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning in the week leading up to your appointment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.
🧿Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Not recommended during pregnancy; consult before booking while breastfeeding.
🧿Sensitivity: Some clients may experience mild redness, swelling, or tingling after treatment, which usually subsides within 24–48 hours.
